Albert Einstein on the cover of Time magazine in 1938. And on vacation in Bermuda in 1935. Both wore this jacket.

Einstein purchased the jacket when he became a U.S. citizen in the mid-1930s and began wearing it frequently. According to his Princeton colleague Leopold Infeld, it was his go-to top coat: “one leather jacket solved coat problem for years.”

To celebrate and commemorate this classic leather jacket.

L officially acquired the Menlo Cossack leather jacket from Christie's for £110,000 and reproduced it.

The jacket is limited to 500 pieces worldwide and was sold out at $9,999.

Everything from the leather color creases to the hardware label is faithful to the original, and even to bring out the original flavor and Einstein's scent on the leather jacket, the brand invited New York perfume company D.S. & Durga to create a special scent bottle that combines the warm and captivating smells of burley pipe tobacco, salvia paper manuscripts, and aged leather.

Imagine Einstein sitting at his desk in this leather jacket in the mid-1930s, lighting his pipe and writing down physics theories that would change the world. The number plate 97 used at the auction is also included.
